Windows 8 Add a Printer TCP IP address
To add a printer in Advanced printer setup
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.) - Enter Advanced printer setup in the search box, and tap or click Advanced printer setup.
- Do one of the following:
- Choose a printer in the list.
- Tap or click The printer that I want isn’t listed, and either enter the printer name or choose one of the other options.
- Tap or click Next, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

While Windows searches for printers, click The printer I want isn't listed .

Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and then click Next .

If connected via a USB cable, select Use an existing port , click Next , and then wait while the port is located.If connected via a network, follow these steps:

Select Create a new port , select Standard TCP/IP port from the drop-down list, and then click Next .

Type the printer IP address (or Printer host name), click Next and then wait while the port is created.
