Dell Email Archive 5.0 Notes (Exchange 2007 SP3)

Enabling Journaling (Capture every email as it enters the Exchange Server)
   Open Exchange Management Console
 
   Organization Configuration >Journaling Tab > Right-click > Create New Rule
   Give the rule a name like Dell Archive Manager
   Send Journal reports to e-mail address: archive_mgr
   Scope - Global - all messages
   Check the box Enable Rule

   Server Configuration > Mailbox > Right-click on Exchange Message Store (*.edb)
   Click Properties
   On the General tab > Click Journal Recipient > select archivemgr_journal accout
   Click Apply

   Go to the Administration side in Dell Email Archive Manager
   On the left click Data Loaders
   Type: Mapi
   Name:Archive Manager Journal
   Server: The name of the Exchange Server
   User Id: Archivemgr_journal
   Start Time: 00:00
   End Time: 23:59
   Active: Check the box

   Click Update

Deploy Archive Manager Mailbox Link in Microsoft Outlook Mailboxes

Locate "D:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\Archive Manager\ExchangeUtility.exe" and hold SHIFT and right-click.
Choose the option to Run-AS, and run as archivemgr_esm with the appropriate password.
This will open a utility that can be used to create the link for people's mailboxes.
Click File > Get mailboxes > MailServer > Type in the internal DNS name of the mailserver. "EXCHANGE01".
Click Finished.
It is possible to push the Archive Manager out to everyone, or to just a specific mailbox by selecting the appropriate mailbox.
Click File > Create Outlook Archive Manager Folder

Microsoft Outlook Client Plug-in can be installed by MSI, Manually, or via GPO

On the archive server locate the Outlook Form Template

Select the EN-AM[English - Archive Manager icons]
Click Close

Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites = Enabled and sites added to the list

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Internet Settings > Advanced Settings > Browsing > Go to an intranet site for a one-word entry in the Address bar.

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Classic Administrative Templates (ADM) > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Proxy ByPassList > Add server to bypass list.

Enable Proxy: Enabled
