Exchange 2013 – Change OWA Login to Username Only

Problem

The procedure for changing the user login process from domainnameusername to just username, is a little different with Exchange 2013.

Solution

1. Connect to the Exchange admin center > Servers > Virtual Directories > Select OWA > Edit.

2. Authentication > Select 'User name only' > Browse and select the domain > Save.

3. At the warning click OK > Windows Key+R > cmd {enter} > Run the following command;

iisreset /noforce

Note: This will (by default) also change the logon method for the Exchange Admin Center.
