How to change a password with JRB tools for a Novell eDirectory and Groupwise account

Example

setpword john Parsn1p234

setpword /m=a

/m Controls the passwords to be set. Possible values are:

a Set all applicable passwords.

/u Use each object’s name as the password. The object’s common name is used, not its distinguished name e.g. Fred for fred.sales.xyz.

/w Write the passwords generated via /g to a file. The default file name is “setpword.gen”, but an alternative name may be given e.g. /w=p:\temp\passwords.new. If the file already exists, the results are appended to the file rather than the old file being replaced. See also /z.
