How to Add Shortcut to File on Android Home Screen
Follow the steps below to add a shortcut to a file Android home screen:
1. Find and open the file on your phone.
2. Select the 3 dots to open the menu and select send to.
3. In the menu select Google Drive.
4. Open Google Drive on your phone.
5. Open the file in Google Drive
6. Select the 3 dots in the top right then choose Make available offline.
7. Scroll all the way to the button. Select the 3 dots in the top right then choose Add to Home Screen.
8. Select Add automatically.
This is handy if you want to put for example Proof of Auto Insurance if you were to ever get pulled over by a Police Officer, etc.
It is also handy for example if you might have music or something that you want direct access too.
